45 Represents the aspect ratio (sidewall height). As a percentage of the tyre width

R Denotes the tyre’s construction type. In this case, a RADIAL

17 The diameter of the wheel in inches

91 The load index

W The speed rating

The load index is a numerical code associated with the maximum load a tyre can carry at the speed indicated by its speed symbol .
