My name is Brian Phillips the founder of Mobi-tyre and I would like to share our experience in Portugal.
It was a tough job I know but I wanted to experience the holiday as one of our Mobi-tyre customers to ensure it was a good offer and I can honestly say WOW what a holiday.
The resort we stayed in was superb. The facilities offered a high standard accommodation in beautifully maintained surroundings with a large family sized pool with a waterfall and slide, a gym - not that we used it, restaurants and pool side bar. We had less than a 2 minute walk through the hotel gardens and onto the beautiful beach, which offered various water sport activities. Outside of the hotel complex there was a variety of restaurants and bars from Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, English and many more nationalities in the town of Albufeira.
The only thing Avanti asks of you would be to have an hour of your time to promote their resorts (which is only fair as we were staying for a week free) but they say you do not have to, so me being me thought yeah right club rep you can’t get rid of , so when the holiday rep came round the first thing I said was “Sorry but I am not interested” (I did this because I wanted to test them) and sure enough he said “ No problem hope you enjoy your stay” very politely (But I needed to see what happened if I said ok) so then I said “Sorry come in and let’s see what this is all about."
Tony was his name and what a nice guy, we spent all in all just over an hour with him, he showed us around the facilities and what they have to offer. It was worth seeing and I can honestly say there was no pressure at all. At any stage I could have ended the meeting. The really funny thing was at the end when I told him who I was and that I was there as a Mobi-tyre customer, he had no idea as I had booked the whole experience in my partner's name but I needed to make sure that there was going to be no pressure put on our customers.
Well guys and girls, Portugal, what a beautiful friendly country and there is something for everyone. We went Paragliding, jet skiing, speed boat and a catamaran which took us to a private beach for a barbeque which was well worth doing. There is so much to do there for all the family.
I would like to thank Avanti for my experience - all we paid for was our flights which cost less than £200 for the two of us but I now know if we had shopped around we could of got the flights cheaper but hey, how could I complain - a week in Portugal in a top resort with Flights less than £200 for two.
